How to eat out with friends while dieting

While a lot of us probably would like the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle. The reason we usually don’t is because we don’t want to give up the alternative whether it be an inactive lifestyle or going out for food with friends.
-
But what if I told you that you could have your cake and eat it too? What if you could have the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle without being overly restricted?
-
Today I want to share with you one of the most powerful strategies I teach my clients to give them flexibility in their diet and lifestyle.
-
The strategy is set up to allow you to save as many carbs, fat, and calories for the evening so that you can still eat meals at restaurants while staying on track with your fitness goals.
-
Most people overcomplicate fitness & nutrition. You don’t have to go super low in calories or eat small meals throughout the day.
-
What you need to do is be in a calorie deficit and get adequate protein.
-
So how can we make that as enjoyable as possible?
-
The method that works really well for me and a lot of my clients is as follows:
-
Incorporate intermittent fasting and/or high protein meals though-out the day.
-
This way you have tons of room (often 1000 calories plus) to work with in evening.
-
Focusing on having protein as the major part of your first meal allows you to stay more full throughout the day.
-
This also gives you more carbs and fat to accommodate with more “fun” foods like ice cream and pizza.
-
Not to mention save some calories for “empty sources” such as alcohol if you so choose.
-
You can implement this strategy for the weekend or on a daily basis (like me)
