True body weight training is hacking away the unessential.

It is the acknowledgment that you don't need a barbell, drop sets, or anything more than the miracle of your body to become a stronger version of yourself.

In this day and age it can always feel like we need something external to reach our goals.

But really, improving and learning happens within.

A fancy treadmill, power rack, or set of kettle bells can help...

But, at the end of the day they are tools to help you get get in touch with your body.

But I think one benefit that calisthenics has over weight training is that is forces you to feel how your body is moving through space.
-
This means if you've put on 5lbs because you've been eating like 🗑 pull-ups will feel heavier.
-
This forces you to stay lean, light, athletic, and functional.

It also makes you look much more defined, as you're at a lower body fat %

If the gyms are closing again where you are and you're stressed out about your fitness leaning down and focusing on bodyweight training can be a great option.
